BOWLS DEVELOPMENT GROUP

The Burton and District Men’s and Ladies Leagues have set up a joint working party to look at ways in which we can attract new players into our game. We are hoping to target all age groups but with the emphasis on young people. The Working Party will examine all ideas for their feasibility, come up with an action plan for those which we believe will succeed and see them through to fruition.

The people on the Working Party so far are:-

Alan Eccleshall, Malcolm Cheese, Bill Maybry and Dave Brown, Neil Brown, Russell Mosley and Andy Roberts representing the Men’s League and Margaret Hoare (Chair), Eunice Ireland (Sec), Jean Eccleshall, Kay Chidgey and Jane Hudson for the Ladies With junior section representation in Vicky Mosley and Baz Matkin

Let’s not underestimate the size of the task, it’s huge, and the working party will need other people and Clubs to get involved. In the meantime, if you have any ideas of your own or if you’d like to be involved with the work of the Group, please contact one of the above. We’d very much like to hear from you.
